Our Mission
To upgrade the Maagan Michael Ulpan facilities and bring them up to 21st century standards: The living quarters, classrooms and administrative offices will all be upgraded. Our project has set the goal of providing the Ulpan students with a friendly and convenient environment during their stay at Maagan Michael.
Current Situation
Existing Ulpan facilities are over 60 years old and inadequate. In the current dormitories students sleep three to a 14 m² / 150 sq ft room.The classes and offices are in prefabricated buildings and need to be replaced.
Our Goal
We are planning to build a completely new campus three floor building. On the ground floor will be Classrooms, Offices and a Social club (Moadon). On the second and third floors we will build new dormitory rooms and thus enable the students to be two in each room. Our plan is to raise US$ 6,500,000. We plan to achieve this goal with the generous help of a wide range of contributors who realize the significance of this important Jewish, Zionist educational institute. Kibbutz Maagan Michael will contribute 1/3 of the amount.
The modernization of the Ulpan facilities will upgrade accommodations and services and enable the Ulpan to educate and teach another 10,000 students over the next half century in the comfort of modern standards.
